We’re All Wonders by R.J. Palacio

A companion to the chapter book Wonder, this picture book for younger readers is an acknowledgement by young Auggie Pullman that he’s really just an ordinary boy, even though his face doesn’t look like other kids.  It hurts his feelings when people laugh at him or say mean things.  His hope that every person will be seen as a wonder, regardless of how he or she looks on the outside, will inspire young and old to “choose kind”.
