Toby, a beagle, just doesn’t seem to have a purpose. All of his littermates have been adopted but because he doesn’t like to run and chase like the other pups, Toby is left behind. His quiet nature is appealing to Mona and her mother Patsy, however. Patsy works at a nursing home and Mona plans to train him to be a therapy dog and work with the residents there. After an issue with his health is resolved, Toby starts to run and chase, behavior that gets him in trouble with Patsy’s boss. What will Dorothy, the formerly withdrawn lady who now enjoys throwing a ball for Toby, and the other residents do if this special new canine friend is banned from the home forever?
